meet Fred Franke

Franke Contracting:

Fred Franke founded the business right after graduating from UCSD. With a long family background in the construction industry, Fred was initially going to head a different direction until a pivotal conversation with a personal friend made him realize that his skills and passions lie in building. Business grew quickly from there. Fred brings a level of professionalism that is typically lacking in the construction industry, and homeowners quickly recognize its value.

History:
  • Fred was born in Pittsburgh, Pa, and grew up in Hemet California where he graduated High School.
  • He attended UCSD from 1994-98, graduating with a BS in Management Science.
  • While attending school he held various jobs managing personnel in a construction or building maintenance setting.
  • Fred founded Franke Contracting, Inc in 1999
  • He has been in San Diego since 1994
  • He has lived in Mira Mesa since 1999 with his wife and 2 children.
  • Franke Contracting’s work has been photographed and published many times.
